1. Rahul Johri To Step Down As CEO, BCCI
Rahul Johri, CEO, BCCI, will be moving on from the organisation this month according to campaign India. Johri’s contract was due to expire next year, but he had put in his papers in December 2019. He had joined the BCCI in 2016. Prior to this, Johri was with Discovery Network as Asia Pacific’s executive vice-president and general manager for South Asia.
2. Kinetic Worldwide Launches ‘’India On The Move’
GroupM’s Kinetic Worldwide has announced the launch of ‘India On The Move’ (IOM). It is Kinetic India’s latest proprietary tool developed in-house to help understand audience traffic patterns. According to The Economic Times, the tool will help drive sharper audience targeting, thus minimising spillover. IOM will also provide customised mapping solution for clients and partners with an outline of audience aggregation across geographies.
3. Lenovo’s Data Center Group Business Appoints Shonali Chakravarty As Head Of Communications, APAC
Lenovo’s Data Center Group business has appointed Shonali Chakravarty as head of communications for Asia-pacific. Based in Bengaluru she will be heading the communications mandate for 13 countries including India, Australia, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, and South Korea. As noted by campaign India, she will be reporting to Sachin Bhatia, CMO, Lenovo Data Center Group, APAC. Prior to this, Chakravarty was director, communications for Oyo.
4. MX Player Launches ‘MX TakaTak’
MX Player has launched a new app called ‘MX TakaTak’ which will enable users to create short, entertaining videos. As per exchange4media, the app will allow users to browse across categories like dialogue dubbing, comedy, gaming, food, DIY, sports, etc. The app will be available in 9 languages apart from English. These videos can then be edited on ‘MX TakaTak’ and shared on social media sites.
