Vinay Subramanyam, former vice president, marketing, Britannia, is joining Pidilite Industries. He was replaced at Britannia by Amit Doshi. Subramanyam left Britannia in December 2021, prior to which he was with the Kellogg Company for almost four years, where he was associate director, marketing for Corn Flakes and the masterbrand.
2. Meta Promotes Nick Clegg to Lead Policy Issues
Meta has promoted policy chief Nick Clegg to a larger role to lead on all policy matters, signaling less involvement from Mark Zuckerberg in the area. Clegg, who was a British deputy prime minister from 2010 to 2015, joined Facebook in 2018 to run its global policy organization. He has led issues like Facebook’s content policy and elections and spearheaded its establishment of the company’s independent content oversight board.
3. Havas Group Launches First Village in the Metaverse
Havas Group now owns a plot of virtual land in The Sandbox video game where it plans to inaugurate its first virtual Village (the 69th Havas Village). Last year, the Group launched Metaverse by Havas, a new consulting, creative and media offer, dedicated to brands that, in the metaverse, see opportunities to reinvent branding, storytelling, experience, audience targeting and revenue generation. The new virtual village, which will also include a recruitment service, is scheduled to open to public access in The Sandbox at the end of April 2022.

Zoomcar has appointed Nirmal NR as their CEO for India. In his new role, Nirmal will be responsible for all aspects of Growth, Operations, and Customer Experience for the company in India. Prior to this, Nirmal was the president for growth and marketplace at Zoomcar. Before joining Zoomcar, Nirmal had launched and ran OYO Rooms in Kerala.

Dentsu Asia Pacific has promoted Siddarth Malhotra to CEO Isobar Vietnam, in addition to his current role as managing director dentsu mcgarrybowen, Vietnam. In his expanded role, Siddarth will be responsible for evolving the brand’s offerings as the market’s leading creative experience agency, building offerings around commerce and content, brand and product design as well as a establishing a network of different specialist partners.
