1. Amazon US Pledges Over $5 Million to Help India Combat Covid-19
Amazon US is pledging over $5 million to support hospitals and other COVID care facilities across India. As part of this initiative, life-saving equipment including 82 anesthesia ventilators, 1238 BiPAP machines and 60 ventilators have already reached India, reports exchange4media. The medical equipment will be distributed to Amazon’s on-the-ground community partners who will distribute to verified hospitals and non-profit organizations across the country to ensure it reaches communities where it is needed the most.

4. AT&T Merges WarnerMedia Subsidiary with Discovery Inc
US telecom giant AT&T and Discovery Inc. have partnered to create a ‘standalone global entertainment’ company, reports afaqs. As part of the agreement, AT&T is merging its WarnerMedia subsidiary which includes entertainment, sports and news assets with Discovery’s non-fiction, international entertainment and sports businesses. This also includes content from HBO Max and the recently launched Discovery+.

Deepak Sharma has stepped down from his role as the managing director of Starcom Mediavest Group, a part of Publicis Media. As noted by The Economic Times, Sharma was a part of the group for over 16 years, having joined as a media director in 2005.
