1. Burger King’s CMO Fernando Machado Resigns

Global chief marketing officer of Restaurants Brands International, for Burger King, Popeyes and Tim Hortons, Fernando Machado has resigned from his role. Machado had joined Burger King in 2014 and was promoted to lead RBI’s marketing in 2020. According to The Economic Times, Paloma Azulay, global CMO of RBI-owned Popeyes, will be promoted to become RBI’s new global chief brand officer.

2. Mahindra Groups Appoints Asha Kharga as Chief Customer & Brand Officer

Mahindra Group has appointed Asha Kharga as chief customer and brand officer. She comes in from Axis Bank, where she was executive VP and group CMO. As noted by afaqs, Kharga also worked for Hindustan Unilever and ad agencies like Leo Burnett, JWT and TBWA before joining Axis Bank.

3. Havas Elevates Susan Josi & Sangeeta Barde

Havas Health & You has elevated Susan Josi as managing director of Havas Health & You – SEA & Middle East, and Sangeeta Barde as managing director of Havas Life Sorento. As reported by campaign India, both Susan and Sangeeta have been managing partners at Havas Life Sorento since 2017, when Havas acquired Sorento Healthcare.

4. Tilt Brand Solutions Appoints Ameya Kovale as Senior Director – Creative & Content

Tilt Brand Solutions has appointed Ameya Kovale as senior director – creative and content. Kovale will report to Shriram Iyer, Tilt’s chief creative and content officer. Kovale comes in from Lowe Lintas, after an association of 13 years. He was with Ogilvy prior to that.

Short-video platform Chingari has signed up Salman Khan as a global brand ambassador and investor. With this association, Chingari is looking to augment its position as the market leader, as noted by exchange4media. Chingari also recently closed a $13 million funding round led by OnMobile Global.
