1. WarnerMedia Unveils New-Look Leadership Team For India, Southeast Asia & Korea
WarnerMedia International has confirmed its new-look organization and leadership team across India, Southeast Asia and Korea. The reshuffle combines the pre-existing WarnerMedia Entertainment Networks (comprising the legacy Turner and HBO businesses) with Warner Bros. (Theatrical Distribution, TV Syndication, Home Entertainment as well as Consumer Products, Gaming and Location Based Entertainment). As part of the reshuffle, Siddharth Jain, SVP and MD South Asia, and Jessica Kam, SVP of Original Productions – Entertainment, are leaving the company. According to exchange4media, the organization will be led by Clement Schwebig, Head of WarnerMedia for India, Southeast Asia and Korea.
2. Instagram Adds Branded Content Tag To Reels & Live
Instagram has added the ‘branded content’ tag to Reels and Live as it looks to make it easier for creators and brands to create, share and amplify branded content across the platform. As reported by campaign India, the platform wants to ensure creators can clearly disclose when they are creating branded content. In June 2019, Instagram also launched the ability for brands to run branded content posts as ads. It also launched the ability for businesses and creators to set a minimum age for their branded content feed posts on Instagram.
3. Audible To Expand ‘Suno’ Service To Other Indian Languages
Audible, a part of e-commerce giant Amazon, is working on adding more Indian languages to its Audible ‘Suno’ service, as noted by The Hindu. Launched in December last year, the app currently offers more than 100 audio stories and podcasts for free in English and Hindi. In a bid to further strengthen its position in India, Audible is working on expanding Suno to other regional languages.
4. Times OOH Acquires Media Rights On Chennai’s Central & Southern Billboards
Times OOH has acquired the exclusive media rights on Chennai’s Central and Southern billboards. Located in the heart of the city at Chetpet and iconic spots at OMR, these mediums cover some of Chennai’s prime and busiest areas from Chetpet bridge to Perungudi and Sholinganallur toll plazas. As per exchange4media, this comprises massive unipoles, impactful gantries, toll plazas and more.
