Google will soon block ad targeting based on the age, gender or interests of people under 18, as the tech giant faces scrutiny over targeted advertisements being pushed via its platforms. The company said that in 2022, it will focus on strengthening protections for vulnerable groups and delivering new ways to put users in control of their ad experiences. Currently, users can turn off sensitive ads related to alcohol or gambling on YouTube, reports The Economic Times.
