Shah will oversee operations of all Mahindra Group companies along with the automobile and tractor manufacturing businesses and will take over from Pawan Goenka. As per livemint, he is currently serving as the deputy managing director and chief financial officer of Mahindra.

As noted by The Economic Times, the deal will give Italian publishers access to the Google News Showcase programme, which sees it pay outlets for a selection of enriched content.
