1. Omnicom Wins Philips’ $300m Global Creative and Media Account
Philips has awarded its creative, public relations and media accounts, worth $300m, to Omnicom following a review. As per The Drum, Philips will work with a cross-agency team drawn from several Omnicom shops – primarily TBWA for creative and OMD for media, with FleishmanHillard and Ketchum continuing their handling of the brand’s communications efforts. The review involved Omnicom, incumbents Dentsu and WPP, and MDC Partners.


2. VMLY&R Appoints Payal Vaidya as EVP, Experience Design
VMLY&R has appointed Payal Vaidya as its executive vice president, experience design. According to The Economic Times, she will be a part of the senior leadership council, leading the customer experience design vertical. She will also be responsible for evangelising design thinking and customer-first experiences within the agency and with clients. Prior to joining VMLY&R, Vaidya co-founded The Thinking Hats Innovation in New York City, focused on launching, sustaining and innovating with brands on their experiences, products and services.

Wondrlab has roped in Kavita Kamath as group creative director. At Wondrlab, Kavita will lead creative integration and content creation on a large set of key accounts. As per afaqs, she will report to Amit Akali, co-founder and chief creative officer at Wondrlab.

4. Ogilvy Appoints Fiona Gordon as UK Chief Executive
Ogilvy has appointed Fiona Gordon, previously chief client officer EMEA, as the network’s UK chief executive. Prior to this, she spent four years as WPP’s UK lead on the integrated Walgreens Boots Alliance account. As per campaign UK, Gordon, takes on the role with immediate effect.
