Arvind Krishnan, former MD, BBH India, and Prajato Guha Thakurta, former NCD, Leo Burnett India, have rolled out “Manja”, an agency to help brands achieve success in a ‘post-digital world’.
2. Alphabet / Google’s Q2 Report
Revenue, excluding payments to distribution partners, was $57.47 billion in the quarter, the company said Tuesday in a statement. Analysts had projected $58 billion. The report reflects the internet giant’s resilience amid slowing growth in advertising.
3. Meta expands fact-checking programme
Meta is expanding its third-party fact-checking programme in India to include NewsMeter, a fact checker primarily focused on the southern states. With this, Meta will have 11 fact checking partners in India.
4. Flipkart and Pocket FM collaborate on audiobooks
Flipkart and Pocket FM, a personalised audio streaming service will collaborate to make available the latter’s audiobook library on the homegrown ecommerce marketplace. This will help Flipkart’s customer base of over 400 million access Pocket FM’s audiobooks.
