1. Marico Sees Double Volume Growth In India
Marico has released its earnings report for Q2FY21. According to CNBC, the company reported a 7.9% rise in net profit for the quarter ended September 2020 at Rs 273 crore as against Rs 253 crore in the same quarter last year. Marico also reported a double volume growth in India, 9% YOY revenue growth to Rs 1,989 crores (USD 270 million) from Operations in this quarter, with underlying domestic volume growth of 11% and a constant currency growth of 7% in the international business.

Radhesh Uchil, CEO of Media Research Users Council (MRUC) India has decided to move on from his current role, as reported by exchange4media. Having joined MRUC India in 2015, Uchil has played a key role in ensuring the successful execution and release of two rounds of the IRS study. He was also actively involved in exploring new opportunities with other industry bodies to further the objectives of the Council.

The new CX+ Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) report released by Kantar today evaluates companies in the sector based on a unique combination of their experience scores, on dimensions that are critical to the customer’s journey. According to the report, Netflix, Tatasky, Jio & Airtel emerge as leaders in the TMT sector in India. The study has analysed 6,000+ customers drawn from users across the sectors in India and was conducted in early 2020.
4. Ankhi Das, Facebook India’s Public Policy Director Quits
Facebook Inc’s public policy director for India, South and Central Asia, Ankhi Das, has stepped down. The news comes more than two months after Das was accused of ignoring calls to remove hate speeches by a ruling party lawmaker. As noted by exchange4media, she will pursue interests in public service.
5. Aashish Singh, Director – Original Films Quits Netflix India
Netflix India’s director – original films, Aashish Singh has quit the OTT paltform, and has joined LYCA Productions as the chief executive officer. Before joining Netflix in 2019, Singh was CEO- motion pictures at Balaji Telefilms. According to The Economic Times, he has also held the post of vice president- production, Yash Raj Films from March 2005 to April 2018.
