1. MRUC expects to restart IRS soon
The Media Research Users Council India (MRUCI) is expected to restart the Indian Readership Survey (IRS) as quickly as possible, and is likely to make an announcement on the launch of the survey soon.
2. Brand Finance: India’s brand value stands at US$2.6 trillion
India’s brand value has grown by 19% this year to reach US$2.6 trillion, according to a report by brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance. The list was topped by USA, followed by China, Germany, Japan, UK, France, India, Canada, Italy and South Korea.
3. NS Rajan elected ASCI Chairperson
NS Rajan, director, August One Partners LLP, has been elected as the Chairperson of the board of governors of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI). Marico’s Saugata Gupta was elected Vice Chairperson, while IPG’s Shashi Sinha continues to be honorary treasurer.
4. IAA elects Avinash Pandey as President
The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA), has elected Avinash Pandey, CEO, ABP Network as its president for the year 2022-23. Abhishek Karnani, director, Free Press Journal Group, was elected as Vice President.
5. Nielsen India ropes in Deepak Mann
Nielsen has announced the appointment of Deepak Mann as Director, Marketing Effectiveness, Nielsen India. He will be responsible for expanding and strengthening Nielsen’s leadership.
