Amazon has announced that it is acquiring podcast network, Wondery. As per TechCruch, Wondery will become part of Amazon Music in September. The announcement claims that “nothing will change for listeners” and that the network’s podcasts will continue to be available from “a variety of providers.”
2. Sony Pictures Network India Ad Revenue Drops by 13.31%
Sony Pictures Network India has recorded a total revenue of Rs 5846.20 crore as compared to Rs 6309.90 crore in the previous financial year. The company witnessed a drop of 7.3% in the total revenue, according to exchange4media. As per the filing, the company’s advertising revenue dropped by 13.31% to Rs 2755.58 crore in FY20 as compared to 3178.69 crore in the year ended 31 March 2019. SPNI’s revenue share from distribution and advertising in FY20 stood at Rs 170.66 crore against Rs 219.65 crore in the previous financial year.

4. Ad Phishing Campaign Hits Over 6 Lakh Facebook Users
Cybersecurity researchers have unearthed a large-scale ad phishing campaign that has compromised accounts of more than 6.15 lakh Facebook users from at least 50 countries, reports The Economic Times. The list of affected users is growing at a rapid pace of more than a 100 entries per minute, according to ThreatNix, a Nepal-based cybersecurity firm. The researchers first came across the phishing campaign through a sponsored Facebook post that was offering 3GB mobile data from Nepal Telecom and redirecting to a phishing site hosted on GitHub pages.
