1. Amazon’s Ad Services Rise by 32% YoY to $9.7 billion
Amazon has reported a 9.4% hike in its revenue at $137.4 billion in the fourth quarter. The company reported $14.3 billion in net income for Q4. As per exchange4media, advertising services grew 32% year over year to $9.7 billion during the quarter. In online ad business, Amazon is now the third biggest company after Alphabet and Meta.
2. Ankit Desai Rejoins Marico as Head, Media & Digital Marketing (India & Global Centre of Excellence)
Ankit Desai has re-joined Marico as head – media and digital marketing (India & Global Centre of Excellence). He joins from Disney+ Hotstar, where he worked as vice president and head – product revenue strategy (Entertainment) for approximately 3 years. Ankit also had a prior stint with Marico, where he worked for 8 years as the head of media and digital marketing.
3. IndiGo Appoints Rahul Bhatia as Managing Director
IndiGo has appointed its co-founder Rahul Bhatia as the company’s managing director with immediate effect. In his new role, Bhatia would focus on expanding the airline’s presence in India and in international markets and building for the long term. He would also oversee all aspects of the airline, and actively lead the management team.
4. H&M to Launch H&M Home in India
H&M will launch H&M Home to start selling home decor, furnishings, bed linen and dinnerware in India starting March 2022. These products will be available through its website as well as its online e-commerce partner Myntra. H&M Home will also be introduced via H&M India’s existing store in Ambience Mall, Delhi through a shop-in-shop format.
