The BCCI has officially suspended the IPL title sponsorship deal with Chinese mobile phone company, Vivo for the event’s upcoming edition. As reported by The Economic Times, The BCCI sent out a one-line statement today, without giving any details, to say that Vivo will not be associated with the IPL this year. The two parties are now reportedly working out a plan in which Vivo might come back for a fresh three-year period starting 2021 on revised terms.

4. Google Deletes More Than 2500 YouTube Channels Tied To China

Google has deleted more than 2,500 YouTube channels tied to China as part of its effort to weed out disinformation on the video-sharing platform, as mentioned by livemint. Google said that the channels were removed between April and June “as part of our ongoing investigation into coordinated influence operations linked to China.” The channels generally posted “spammy, non-political content,” but a small subset touched on politics.
