1. Burger King Revamps Brand for First Time in over 20 years

Burger King has refreshed its brand identity with a new logo for the first time in more than two decades. The old burger logo, which was introduced in 1999, has now been replaced by a more subdued, vintage-looking one. As per exchange4media, the branding will be extended to Burger King’s food packaging, employee uniforms and signage.

2. Soumitra Karnik Steps Down as CCO, Dentsu International

Soumitra Karnik has stepped down from his role as Chief Creative Officer at Dentsu International. As reported by exchange4media, Karnik had been with Dentsu since February 2012, joining the network as National Creative Director. In 2017, he took on additional responsibility as Chief Creative Officer at Dentsu Impact and mcgarrybowen. He announced his departure through a Facebook post today.


3. Facebook Removes ‘Like Button’ from Public Pages

Aiming towards simplifying its overall design for users, Facebook has dropped the ‘like button’ from all of its public pages, which are generally used by public figures, artists, brands, etc.  As per livemint, Facebook pages will now only show the number of followers along with a dedicated news feed section for users to join conversations, interact, and engage with others. This new update will gradually be rolled out to all the public pages officially in the forthcoming months.


4. Partha Ghosh To Head CSR at Samsung India

Partha Ghosh, Vice President & Corporate Communications Head at Samsung Electronics, has also been appointed as the Head for CSR at Samsung India. In this role, Ghosh would be at the forefront of strategizing and planning CSR initiatives for the organization. Samsung has a large CSR portfolio in the country that focusses on education, skilling and healthcare, alongside several other community initiatives around its manufacturing facilities and offices.

5.  Vedantu Appoints Kunal Dubey & Lucky Saini

Online learning platform Vedantu, has announced the appointments of Kunal Dubey and Lucky Saini. Dubey joins as head of marketing while Saini is head of brand. Dubey and Saini have been working together for the last seven years, most recently at Dentsu Slingshot. As per campaign India, they will be based in Bengaluru and report to Arvind Singhal, chief operating officer, Vedantu.
