1. WPP Bags Majority of Coca-Cola’s $4 Billion Account
Coca-Cola has appointed WPP as its global marketing network partner after the agency won majority of the brand’s $4 billion account. According to campaign Asia, WPP be operating under a bespoke unit called OpenX and the team will manage creative, media, data and marketing technology across Coca-Cola’s entire portfolio of brands and its global ventures. Dentsu was named a “complementary media partner” on the account, driving media in certain geographies where it has expertise.
2. British Airways Appoints OMG as Global Media Planning & Buying Agency
British Airways has appointed Omnicom Media Group as the global media planning and buying agency, concluding a review process that kicked off back in January 2021. Omnicom will handle paid and organic search and other performance marketing channels, including affiliates and meta-search partnerships. As reported by campaign UK, the agency will take over the account from WPP, which has handled the airlines’ creative, media, social and paid-search account since 2017.
3. Ola Pilots Quick Delivery Service ‘Ola Store’
Ola has started piloting a quick delivery service, ‘Ola Store’ for items like grocery, personal care and pet care products in Bengaluru, according to livemint. The service is available within the Ola app and is rolling out to select consumers in Bengaluru. Ola plans to expand across major cities in India in the coming months.

Shoppers Stop has appointed Shwetal Basu as Customer Care Associate and Chief of Marketing and Communication. As part of her new role, Shwetal will be leading the brand’s marketing mandate, reports exchange4media.
