1. Google blocked or removed 3.1 billion bad ads in 2020

Google has released its annual ‘Ad Safety Report’ for 2020 which highlights the company’s efforts behind preventing malicious ads. As per the report, Google blocked 3.1 billion bad ads in 2020 globally, including 99 million COVID-19 related ads. It also blocked or removed over 867 million ads for attempting to evade its detection systems, including cloaking, and an additional 101 million ads for violating the misrepresentation policies.

2. Zomato To Launch Functional Foods / Nutrition Supplements


Zomato will soon launch its own line of functional foods or nutrition supplements. The announcement was made by Zomato’s founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal on Twitter. Goyal stated that the supplements are made in India and will be delivered within 15 minutes on the back of its 1.5 lakh delivery partners in its fleet.

3. Leo Burnett India Bags Creative Mandate for MACHO

Leo Burnett India has won the creative mandate for men’s innerwear brand, MACHO. The account was won following a multi-agency pitch and will be handled by the agency’s New Delhi office. As per The Economic Times, Leo Burnett will craft the complete communications strategy for the brand.

Dr. Reddy’s has appointed Prachi Mohapatra as Marketing Head, OTC, Emerging Markets. Prachi joins from Future Group where she was CMO – FBB for 5 years. Prior to FBB, she was with Oriflame as Brand & Communications Head, South Asia.

5. Nachiket Pantvaidya Quits Balaji

Nachiket Pantvaidya, Group COO, Balaji Telefilms and CEO, Alt Balaji, has put in his papers, as reported by afaqs. He was with the company for nearly five and a half years. Prior to Balaji, Pantvaidya was senior EVP at Sony Entertainment Television.
